Are Engagement Sessions Really Important?

I have brides and grooms ask me all the time, do we really need engagement pictures?  And my answer is always the same.  I tell them that is a question only they can answer.  But i'll be more than happy to give you my professional opinion.  So for me engagement pictures are a must.  It's the perfect opportunity to work with your photographer before the big day. Look at it as a trial run before you say I do.  This gives you the opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera, with your photographer and builds your confidence in your photographer.  Your photographer will also appreciate the opportunity to learn your personalities.  So for me working together before the big day is a must.  So take those engagement pictures, think outside the box and let your personalities show.

‪‬My love for second shooting...

Have I told you all how much I love second shooting weddings? Well it's true. Having a second shooter on a wedding day is important, especially if the wedding is large, bride and groom are dressing in different locations or to head off to the reception and get those important decor shots before guests arrive. Having a second shooter not only allows me to relax a little but it also provides the second shooter with valuable experience. When I second shoot, I am able to concentrate more on my craft than on the timeline. I have been second shooting for one my favorite photographers for a while. The experience has proven to be invaluable to my craft and business. When you want to be the be st, you work with the best. Thanks Courtney for letting me SPARKLE, I love you girl.
